A Kansas City-based consulting firm appointed a new president to succeed the company’s founder. The new president needed to quickly build a strategy to position herself as the new leader while assuring continuity of the brand with prospects and stakeholders. The brand message needed to be clear and credible.
We built a strategic social capital plan to support the positioning of the new leader and build new connections to decision makers. The social capital plan included crafting the firm’s brand story; image management and personal brand coaching, strategic alliances and introductions to community leaders. In building a schedule of social/civic/philanthropic events for the firm to consider supporting, we charted a roadmap for future events. We also brainstormed several story pitch ideas. . In addition, we also built a new LinkedIn company profile and an individual profile for the President.
The new resident expanded her social capital network of CEOs and business leaders across the region who know her by first name………and are now referral sources for new business. The firm is also enjoying increased brand awareness from news stories generated about her and the expertise of the firm’s consulting team.
